TUGAS MATA KULIYAH TEKS ENGLISH

Answer the following questions.
 1. What is the difference between ‘prayer’ and ‘as-shalah’? 
As-Shalah is usually translated into English as the word “prayer”. This is a poor translation, because the Shalah, while referring in part to the act of prayer or ‘du’a’, is more accurately translated as the complete act if worship that includes prayer. Whereas prayer (du’a) can be offered at anytime and in any situation. Allah has ordered us to observe this act of devotion and prayer called as-Shalah at specific times of day and night while facing in the precise direction of Baital”tiq in Makkah. 
2. Please mention and explain the verse of al-Baqarah 153! 
Of all the possibilities of worship prescribed for us by Allah, the most important one is prayer or as-Salah. Allah says in the Holy Qur'an "Oh believers, seek help in patience and Salah" (Al-Baqarah 2:153) In the above verse means a Muslim face difficulties in life in order to ask help from God by patience and prayer

 4. Where is our direction when we perform as-Shalah?
 facing in the precise direction of Baital”tiq in Makkah 
5. What is the main idea of the first paragraph? 
 the most important one is prayer or as-shalah 
6. When did our prophet Muhammad PBUH receive the command of as-Shalah? 
He taught him this during the time of his Night Journey (Al-Isra’) when he ascended (al Mi’raj0 to the highest heaven. He was by the Tree of the outermost Limit ( Sidrat al-muntaha) near the place of the Garden of Ultimate Refugee (Jannatu al-Ma’wa) a place where even the Angel Jibril was unable to go
 7. When do we implement the five times of as-Shalah?
 The times of the shalah are in the morning before the rising of the sun, at noon just after the sun has passed its highest point, in the afternoon when the sun begins to incline, in the evening just after the sun has set, and at night when the sky has become dark and the stars shine forth. 
8. What does ‘him’ refer to ? (at the fourth paragraph) 
Describes the obligations of prayer and times of execution  
9. How do we perform as-Shalah? 
Before we perform ablution obligatory prayer because prayer ablution is legal requirement 
10. What does the fourth paragraph discuss?
 In the fourth discusses Alenia time exercising pray five times a day ie; morning prayers before sunrise, midday prayer after the sun passes its highest point, the afternoon Asr prayer when the sun began to tilt, the evening prayers after sunset matahri and Isha when the sky became dark and star shining star. 
11. What happen to those who miss as-Shalah? 
When we miss the Shalah we commit a grave sin, which must be repented for and then ‘made up’. Even so, we should understand that we are only making up what has been missed in time, but not the actual deed of the Shalah, which is gone forever.

 12. Please explain and act out the steps and actions of as-Shalah. 
 Prayer Pillars are: 1). intention 2). takbeer 3). read Surat al Fatihah 4). bowing 5). rose from bowing 6). prostration 7). sitting between the two prostrations 8). seated early 9). second sitting 10). read tasyahud 11). regards 12). orderly 
13. Describe and act out the steps of Wudu’.
 There are six pillars of Wudu 1. intention 2. wash the face 3. wash hands up to the elbows 4. rubbed the head 5. Washing the feet up to the ankles 6. Orderly 
14. Give five benefits that come from offering as-Shalah in congregation.
 Some of the benefits of praying; 1). practicing self-discipline 2). strengthen the brotherhood 3). Trained to be obedient and submissive to the leader 4). Eraser boundary separation between the rich and the poor 5). To each other with applicable between fellow 
 15. Why should we perform as-Shala? 
 Because prayer is the pillar of religion goods leaving the prayer then he has undermined religion 16. Mention and explain one of other verses of al-Qur’an dealing with as-Shalah Command prayers in the Quran Allah commands associate with zakat, Allah says in al-Quran A-Baqarah verse 110; "Enforce exert prayer and zakat" (Al-Baqarah: 110)
